Bird politics
Road builders, German camping tourists and a priest are central actors in the drama that takes place in and around the forest at Harpefoss. This week a great variety of bird species have obstructed their plans. What’s happening at Okulus?
For a week, JAM PUBLIC has collaborated with 24 school students on the performance Bird Politics at Okulus at the Harpefoss art arena. Must nature always give way to human needs? That is the question JAM PUBLIC and students from Sør-Fron primary school ask in the performance Bird Politics.
The premiere and only performance will be played on Friday 31 May at 12.00. The performance lasts approx. 30 minutes and there is free entry. Welcome!
After the performance, JAM PUBLIC will go on tour with Bird Politics as street theater in Gudbrandsdalen in the summer of 2024.
JAM PUBLIC is an artist collective that explores the framework for artistic practice through public interventions, and which is audience-inclusive, sculptural and consistently of an investigative nature
Those who take part in this performance are, in addition to pupils from 5th to 7th grade from Sør-Fron primary school, Pelle Brage, Julia Bruun, Ulrik Grimstad and Lone Eivindsdottir.
